Whenever you read a book by Siobhan Davis, get ready to have your heart shredded! This book was as angsty as all her books are, a wonderful and captivating story, of hearts broken and after some suffering and years apart, mended again. My heart was also broken and mended as I read this book!
Sydney and Jared were soulmates. They were a perfect couple and when they were torn apart, there was no way they could forget or stop remembering. I loved that in spite of all the treachery that had torn them apart, they never forgot, they never stopped feeling, and never stopped loving. They had other relations but only skin deep, not heart deep.
Something different from this author’s other books is that the plot is very emotional and heart wrenching but it didn’t get overly dramatical until the last part. I was missing Siobhan Davis’ drama and then got it in spades towards the end. I also loved to see old friends from previous books, like Ryder and Sawyer and Ashley. It makes all that had been read before connect and make it feel like a part of a whole story.
Engrossing, emotionally riveting and satisfying, I felt like my cup runneth full when I finished this totally romantic and beautiful love story.
