I read this book ten years ago and just finished re-reading, and it hasn’t lost any of the allure it had back when! Jack and Cassie are still a magical couple, their story is wonderfully angsty, and it’s one of the best YA books I’ve ever read.
Jack and Cassie are broken souls with trust issues, they have problems letting someone else in and letting them see inside their minds and souls. However, their connection was instant, and in spite of Cassie fighting it a little, eventually, she gave in and they have a beautiful relation until disaster struck.
I loved their story and how low their happiness level went before the author gave us our very much deserved HEA after all she made us suffer. It’s a wonderful story of making mistakes, repenting, forgiving, and learning to trust again. I found it just as wonderful this time around as the first time ten years ago!
