And as the story went on, I realized Neve wasn’t just stubborn; she was a woman with deep feelings who didn’t believe she was lovable. Tate saw her differently. He loved her quirks, her fire, and her loyalty. His easygoing nature softened her edges, and his protectiveness gave her the stability to be herself..
Once I accepted the slooooow pace, the story itself was sweet and heartfelt. But I did get bored and distracted at times. Still, Neve and Tate’s journey — especially the way they grew into a family — made it worth finishing.
