MR. BIG SHOT, by R.S. Grey

Delicious, that’s what this book is! I loved this couple and the wonderful gentle humor that the author uses. It was a wonderful romance with funny nuances, and I think the author outdid herself with this story.

When Scarlett arrived to work for her first day, her brother warned her about the big, bad lawyer:

“Most importantly, whatever you do, avoid Hudson Rhodes at all costs. Do you hear me? He and I went to law school together, and the guy is heartless.”

And what did she do? Get assigned to work with him, destroy his presumption that she was a bad case of nepotism and impress him with her work ethic, long hours, and sheer talent. He was a goner and he didn’t know it!

I loved the development of the book, loved watching Hudson’s downfall, how he went from villain to friend, from a grump to a fluff.  I loved reading such a strong female character!  Scarlett was hard working and sassy, self-assured where work was involved, not so sure with personal relations, but she did a good job with Rhodes, she took him to his knees and he was happy about it.

Loved the romance, loved seeing the big bad guy fall so resoundingly hard, loved seeing the kind guy behind the villain façade, loved seeing Scarlett win over his family such that he felt like a third wheel at his mother’s house.  Like all this author’s books, it was funny, entertaining and completely charming!

Book review: KARMA’S KISS, by R.S. Grey

The best part about this book is that it’s a small town romance, and I love this trope.  Everyone knows everyone else’s business, gossip tra...
