Book review: SNEAK ATTACk, by Stacey Lynn

Nashville Steel #1

Cole & Eden

This book had so many of my favorite tropes that it was a delight to read beginning to end!  Second chance, sports romance, single dad, love triangle where two women vie for the hot guy.  I was in romance heaven!

Seven years ago, something tragic happened and it scared Eden away from Marysville, away from Cole.  She moved with her parents to Florida and actually disappeared from social media.  Cole, devastated because he lost the girl he loved, went to Vanderbilt U as their football team quarterback.  One drunken night, a woman tricked him, and he ended up with a son.

When Eden came back to Marysville to take care of the woman who befriended and defended her all this time, she was scared to face Cole and the town.  And agonized when she saw his son Jasper for the first time.  But what she didn’t plan for was all the healing and growing up she would be doing, and finding the love that had evaded her all those years ago.

I loved this book!  Initially I found Eden a tad stubborn, holding on to her fears, not living but merely surviving, but Marley, the woman who she came to take care of, was a wise old woman, and she helped her heal better than anyone else.  Cole’s attentions and his focused effort at a second chance also helped.  I loved all the friends, the doggy day care with all the effervescent puppies, little Jasper with his pure heart full of love, crazy Selma and her penchant for trapping the man she can never have and never will.  I loved reading the antics and how Cole was so direct and firm in his love for Eden.

Truly yummy, lots of fun, delightful and emotional, a total win of a second chance romance story!

About the author

Stacey Lynn likes her coffee with a dash of sugar, her heroes with a side of bossy, and her wine a deep shade of red.

The author of over thirty romance novels, many of which have been best-selling titles on Amazon, AppleBooks, and Barnes & Noble, she loves being able to turn her vivid imagination into a career that brings entertainment and joy to her readers. Focused on sports romance and emotional, small-town romance, she also loves stretching herself in different genres.

Born in Texas and raised in the Midwest, she now makes her home in North Carolina and loves all things Southern. Together with her ultimate tall, dark, and handsome hero, she has four children. Her life is a chaotic mess that fights with her Type-A, list-making, neurotically organized preferences and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
